Professional Experience and Responsibilities
Kirk Pressley is the chief financial officer for BBVA USA, where he oversees the accounting, internal controls, tax, profit, budget, forecast, internal reporting, management information systems, treasury, Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR), real estate services, procurement and the regulatory control and reporting groups.
A member of the BBVA USA Management Committee, Pressley reports directly to U.S. President and CEO Javier Rodríguez Soler.
Pressley has more than 26 years of banking, public accounting and internal control experience. He joined BBVA USA in 1999, spending three years as its director of accounting policy before being promoted to corporate controller, where he successfully led the bank's financial risk management activities and its compliance with acceptable accounting principles, among other responsibilities. Prior to joining BBVA USA, Pressley worked in public accounting for 10 years as an audit manager for KPMG and senior audit manager for Arthur Andersen.
Pressley earned a bachelor’s in accounting from Auburn University in Auburn, Ala. He is a certified public accountant.
