View and activate offers in your Online Banking or Mobile Banking. Just a few quick steps and you’ll be earning cash back for qualifying purchases at your favorite shops and restaurants.
- Sign in to Online Banking
- Click on each account to view your account details
- From the Account Details page for each of your accounts, access offers from the Simple Cash Back Hub to view and activate offers
- Sign in to the Mobile Banking app
- Select "Rewards Center" from the Main Menu
- A list of all eligible accounts will be listed. Tap on an account that has current offers
- Tap the offers you want to activate

Simple Cash Back is a program which lets you earn cash-back rewards through merchant offers presented within Online Banking or and Mobile Banking. These offers are tailored to you based on relevance to your purchase history. You simply select or activate the offers which appeal to you and when you make a qualifying purchase for an offer the reward amount will automatically be awarded and deposited into your participating account.
Earning cash back rewards is easy. You can select offers from the Rewards Center in the Mobile Banking app or in your account detail page of Online Banking. Online Banking offers may be presented within your transaction history, or in the Simple Cash Back Hub. Simply click an offer to activate that offer. Some offers allow you to simply shop at a participating location, while others may require that you shop directly through a link provided in the offer. Be sure to read each offer’s details carefully. Rewards are deposited directly into your account the month following your qualifying purchase. All Reward amounts are combined for one total deposit. You can view pending and posted rewards you’ve earned within the Simple Cash Back Hub in Online Banking.
Participation in Simple Cash Back requires you to download Mobile Banking or use BBVA Online Banking and to have either a BBVA consumer Debit or Credit Card. If you meet these criteria, you will automatically see the program within your Mobile Banking or Online Banking.
There is no cost associated with Simple Cash Back. The program is just another benefit of banking with BBVA.
No. Personally identifiable information is not shared with Simple Cash Back retailers or Service Providers. Offers are tailored specifically for each user based on relevance to purchase history, so offers will vary between accounts if you have multiple cards.

When logged in to your Mobile Banking app, click on the menu in the top right of the opened application and select “Rewards Center”. This will allow you to view available offers based on account.

A full list of offers is available in the Simple Cash Back Hub, including all offers received, activated and redeemed. Expired and redeemed offers, as well as limited time offers, may only be visible for a limited time.

Each offer has an "offer period" that is set by the merchant. You must redeem an offer by the expiration date. The expiration date can be found in the offer details section after activating the offer.
Generally, you do not need a coupon or code to redeem the offers. In most cases, just use your BBVA debit or credit card to pay for the qualifying purchase. Some online offers may require you to shop directly through a link provided in the offer, or to enter a redemption code, but such details will be are communicated in the offer.
Yes, as long as the amount paid with your card meets the requirements of the offer after the coupon or discount is applied. For example, if the offer requires a purchase of $20, the amount of the purchase after the discount must be at least $20.
Yes. The minimum amount includes the sales tax for that purchase. For example: if an offer required you to spend $40.00 to qualify and you spent $38.00 plus $2.28 sales tax ($40.28), the purchase qualifies.
Offers are presented through Simple Cash Back tailored based on the cardholder’s spend behaviors in order to provide offers that are relevant to each consumer. Since everyone’s purchasing behavior is different, you may receive the same offer depending on your spending behavior, however there is no guarantee that you will receive the same offer.
Unfortunately, no. Once an offer has expired there is no way to retrieve it. All offers display the number of days remaining in the Mobile Banking and Online Banking Simple Cash Back pages. To view all offers and expiration dates visit the Simple Cash Back Hub in Online Banking.
Simple Cash Back rewards are associated to specific accounts. If you have multiple accounts with Simple Cash Back offers, the offers for each card may vary based on the purchase history for that card. The offer details will determine which account, and associated card(s), is eligible for the offer and that card must be used to make the qualifying purchase. Only consumer credit and debit cards are eligible for Simple Cash Back.
Only consumer BBVA Debit and Credit Cards are eligible for the program.
Offers are matched on an account level, based on the purchase behavior for each specific qualifying account. If you make different purchases from different accounts, you will see different offers for those accounts. Each account is independent of one another and therefore unique.
Simple Cash Back offers apply to the qualifying account, so purchases made with any of your cards tied to that account could be qualifying purchases.
Viewing and Receiving Offers
Offers are based on how you currently shop to ensure the offers you receive are relevant. If you seldom use your card, you may not receive any offers until you start to use your card more. The more you use your card, the more you will receive offers tailored to your specific purchasing behavior.
You can hide offers during an Online Banking session by clicking "Hide all Offers." To opt-out of receiving Simple Cash Back offers, visit the Simple Cash Back Hub and click "Opt-Out." Additionally, Simple Cash Back Preferences can be managed by visiting the Simple Cash Back Hub of the Online Banking Service Center.
Clients do have the ability to opt-out of receiving offers in Online Banking. To opt-out of receiving Simple Cash Back offers, sign into Online Banking, visit the Simple Cash Back Hub and click "Opt-Out." You can hide offers during an Online Banking session by clicking "Hide all Offers." Additionally, Simple Cash Back Preferences can be managed by visiting the Simple Cash Back Hub of the Online Banking Service Center.
You will not be presented any new offers after opting out of receiving Simple Cash Back offers, but any rewards earned prior to opting out will be deposited to your account according to the normal delivery schedule. You may continue to view earned and paid rewards in the Simple Cash Back Hub even after you have opted out. Any activated offers where the fulfillment requirements have not been met will no longer be available after you opt-out of receiving offers. You are always able to opt back in at a later date and resume receipt of offers.
If you close the Qualifying Account before earned Cash-Back rewards are credited to the account, you will forfeit the amount of any Cash-Back rewards earned but not yet received.
Yes, the cash back does show on your statement and is posted to your account the month following the month it was earned.
